Due to Hurricane Helene, we know many of you have property damage.  Please be safe and do not do anything to put yourself or others at risk of harm or injury.

1.  If a tree has fallen onto your property or fallen and damaged your property due to the storm, it is your insurance that would respond to this.  The location of the tree prior to falling does not matter.  Directions on how to file claims are below.

2.  Take lots of pictures, keep receipts, and choose contractors to repair your damage carefully.

3. File a claim – carrier numbers are listed here on our website: https://sharedalliance.com/carriers-services/.  The carriers can look you up by name or phone number if you don’t have your policy number.

4. Take pictures of damage when it is safe to go outside.

5. Take any necessary steps to mitigate further damage. Things like tarping up a roof, etc. are considered reasonable expenses to further mitigate damages.  Take photos and keep receipts.

Given the widespread damage across the southeast, this will be a longer process than normal.  Please be patient as it will take some time for adjusters to get to your property.  Our staff is all working remotely until further notice as we do not have power or internet service.

Our team is all without power at home and at the office and we’ll return to the office as soon as we can.  Please be patient on our response times to you about your questions about the storm.  For information on claims and how to file one, please go to our website at www.sharedalliance.com.  There is a Hurricane Helene banner at the top.

Thanks,
The Team of Shared Alliance Insurance
